Our Vision

book a consultation

Our logo sums it up

The term “henka” is Japanese for “growth” and “transformation” in a positive way. It represents our clients’ journey through their separation and divorce and the “light at the end of the tunnel” that we hope to create for our clients.

Stephanie Dobson

We chose a Japanese term because of Stephanie’s love for Japan that she developed while studying at Doshisha University in the beautiful old capital of Kyoto, Japan.  A piece of Japan will always be in her soul.

Our logo is dual faceted. The children’s faces remind us to keep centred on the most important facet of divorce – raising healthy, thriving children. Symbolically, the butterfly represents good and love, as well as transformation and hope. The green butterfly represents prosperity. The children are pointed inward, reminding their parents to focus their attention on nurturing the good (away from harmful behaviour), expanding their love (avoiding a tug of war), and achieving prosperity (working together, using resources efficiently, reducing wasteful spending) – all of which are at the foundation of our client service.

Divorce is for many people a very difficult time in their lives, and we are thankful to serve our clients in a way that creates Healthy. Thriving. Families.
