Come to an agreement as partners, not adversaries.
Mediation is a family-focused decision-making process whereby parties work together with a neutral Mediator to find creative solutions to their marital issues, without Court. We offer in-person and Virtual Divorce Mediation and Relationship / Marital Mediation.
What is Divorce Mediation?
Focusing on the future, Divorce Mediation is for families who are separating or divorcing. Whether you and your partner are separating amicably or seeking a process that helps you manage conflict, Divorce Mediation can help. In this process, both parties commit to providing all information necessary and work together to build agreements on topics such as:
- Creating a parenting plan
- Resolving finances
- Dividing assets and debts
In the end, the Mediator will draft a Separation Agreement or a summary of the agreements reached during the mediation. Lawyers may be involved in a consulting role during the Mediation by coming to the Mediation sessions, or they may be hired at the end of the process to review and sign the final agreement.
If you think Divorce Mediation may be right for you, contact us.
What is Relationship / Marital Mediation?
Relationship or Marital Mediation is for unmarried or married families who wish to remain together but need more definition around the terms of their relationship. This is not therapy or counseling. It is intended for families to contractually agree to certain terms of their continued cohabitation. Negotiations may include:
- Financial decisions
- Parenting Communication
- Communication strategies
- Asset and debt ownership
Families may use lawyers, financial advisors, or other professionals as needed during the process.
If you’re interested in creating a cohabitation agreement with your partner using the Relationship or Marital Mediation process, read about the topics you may want to consider.

Virtual Mediation
Not local? No problem. We offer Virtual Mediation using Zoom video conferencing. Ensuring all security features are enabled, we are able to assist families across Canada. All you need is a device with a camera (most computers and phones have them built in) to join at the link provided. Any required disclosure or documents are uploaded electronically to our secure and easy client portal. Screen sharing and note taking software allow us to collaborate and review documents together in-session. Virtual Mediation is just as effective as in-person sessions as essential non-verbal cues are discernable on video.
